An 18-year-old from Cumberland County was shot and killed Monday in Harrisburg , authorities said.

Rakeeb Watson, of Carlisle, died from gunshot wounds to the body after a shooting around 6 p.m. at 18th and Park streets in the city’s Allison Hill neighborhood, according to the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office.

Watson’s death was ruled a homicide, the ninth in Harrisburg so far this year. There were 18 homicides by the same date in 2024.
