A dog was hailed a hero after donating blood to save the life of a desperately ill puppy.
Cannock, an Old English Foxhound, saved Cocker Spaniel Rosco when he suffered internal bleeding.
Veterinary nurse Kirsty Thompson was treating the four-month-old pup that was born with a rare genetic condition.
She knew the poorly pooch needed an urgent blood transfusion to have any chance of saving his life.
Kirsty contacted Croome & West Warwickshire Hunt and asked if she could take blood from one of their trail hounds.
