A York County man with a concealed carry permit was charged with two felonies after police say he shot someone he believed was going to jump him in a parking lot this month.

York Haven resident Brock Poteet was charged with two counts of aggravated assault after an Oct. 4 shooting outside the Ripped Rabbit Bar & Grill on the 2600 block of Eastern Boulevard in Springettsbury Township, according to court documents filed by township police.

Poteet, 22, told police he’d been at the Ripped Rabbit and was trying to check on a friend in the parking lot when a man came up to him, mumbled something and shoved him in the face around 2:45 a.m., according to an affidavit of probable cause.
