MACON, Ga. — All four people charged in a deadly drug-deal-gone-wrong in Macon have pleaded guilty to lesser charges in exchange for murder charges being dropped, according to court records and the Macon District Attorney's Office.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Chauncey Love II was shot and killed in the Best Western off of Riverside Drive parking lot back in 2021.

Investigators say Love had traveled to Macon from Florida to sell 5 pounds of marijuana to the group. But their meeting ended in a struggle and gunfire.

But, in the past few months, all four people charged in Love's killing have all entered guilty pleas to lesser charges. While they all received some prison time, none entered guilty pleas on murder charges.
