HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. (WNEM) - Michigan State Police rescued a red-tailed hawk.
Troopers from the Houghton Lake Post were dispatched to a parking lot in Grayling for a report of an injured hawk. They used a blanket and a dog cage to rescue the bird, according to MSP.
Troopers then contacted the Department of Natural Resources and transported the animal to the Association to Rescue Kritters, who will care for the hawk until it can be released back into the wild.
