Fifty years ago, Fred Beans bought his first car dealership.

Today, that location in Doylestown is one of 30 dealerships bearing the Fred Beans name, in addition to eight collision centers, a parts warehouse and other automotive operations.

Beans’ decades of effort in support of the brand were recognized in person by Ford representatives, who traveled in April to his dealership to personally inform him that he will be the third recipient of the company’s prestigious award.
