A 31-year-old man accused of striking and killing a pedestrian with his car in Beaverton earlier this month was indicted on a felony charge Monday.

A Washington County grand jury indicted Taylor Willan in the death of 67-year-old Emmanuel Del Cid, who died Oct. 4 on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road near Hall Boulevard. Officers responded to the crash shortly before 9 p.m., and police said Del Cid died at the scene.

Police said the driver of a white Audi, whom they later identified as Willan, fled. Officers found the car on Oct. 8 and arrested Willan five days later at a south Beaverton home.

Willan remains in Washington County custody on a charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver.
