NANCY, Ky. (WKYT) — A 19-year-old southern Kentucky man is recovering from serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash last week on the Cumberland Parkway.

Cody Cahall was changing a flat tire while working for DoorDash when someone hit him and left the scene at the 82-mile marker between Nancy and Somerset. The collision happened around 11:30 last Tuesday morning.

Cahall pushed his fiancé out of the way during the crash, preventing her from suffering more serious injuries. He sustained multiple broken bones and other injuries that required him to be airlifted to UK Hospital, where he remains.
