EASTERN PANHANDLE — The spirit of the holidays is returning to the Eastern Panhandle, and with it, the beloved Toys for Tots campaign led by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. In Berkeley and Jefferson counties, local volunteers are once again working hard to ensure no child wakes up empty-handed on Christmas morning.

This year’s toy collection campaign is already underway, with donations being accepted through Dec. 12 and final distribution scheduled for Dec. 19. The local team is calling on the community to step up and get involved in a variety of ways. Whether you’re an individual looking to make a difference, a local business hoping to give back or a group looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, there are many ways to support the effort.
