WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Four Woonsocket students have been charged with disorderly conduct after fights at Villa Nova Middle School and Woonsocket High School this week.

Police Chief Thomas Oates told 12 News that two middle schoolers got into a fight and were arrested around 11:20 a.m. Monday.

Then, on Tuesday at the high school, two sisters ages 14 and 16 were arrested after they allegedly went "after another girl."

In the last month, at least 21 Woonsocket students have been arrested, stemming from multiple incidents at the schools.

According to Oates, the schools are doing the best they can, but the fights are sporadic and usually happen between people who know each other.
