The Red Cross has received two coffins carrying the apparent remains of deceased hostages in Gaza, which are now on their way to Israeli troops in the territory, the Israeli military said Tuesday.

“According to information provided by the Red Cross, two coffins of deceased hostages have been transferred into their custody and are on their way to IDF troops in Gaza,” according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The individuals have yet to be named or formally identified.
