ROCKFORD, Ill. — A busy local intersection is scheduled to close for roadwork.
The City of Rockford Public Works announced on Tuesday that the roundabout at Main Street and Auburn Street will close to traffic for re-striping.
The roundabout is scheduled to close on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. and reopen by Monday, Oct. 27 at 6 a.m.
A detour will be provided during the closure. Drivers are also encouraged to use other routes.
