TRIANGLE LAKE, Ore. -- A 49-year-old Gresham man was arrested Monday afternoon for driving under the influence following a fatal utility terrain vehicle crash near Triangle Lake that killed his passenger, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said that sheriff’s deputies responded with fire personnel at about 5 p.m. on Oct. 20 to the crash that occurred on BLM Road 16-7-30 near Triangle Lake. Responding firefighters determined that the passenger, whose identity has been withheld pending next of kin notification, was deceased, sheriff’s officials said.
