WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita is one of the most affordable cities to rent in, according to a recent study by Zillow.
The researchers found that among the nation's 100 largest metro areas, Wichita has the highest share of apartments renting out for less than $1,000 a month, at 54%.
McAllen, Texas, came in second at 50.6%, followed by Little Rock, Arkansas, at 49%. Toledo, Ohio, and Oklahoma City round out the top five at 46% and 42%, respectively.
Boston, Miami and Washington are the hardest cities to find an apartment for less than $1,000, according to Zillow. Just a little more than 1% of the apartments in those cities fall under that threshold, the study found.
