Port Colborne families looking for something to do this weekend need look no further than Vale Health and Wellness Centre.

A series of seven family fun nights launches Saturday, with each night featuring a movie in the gym at 6 p.m., a free skate from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a free swim from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.

This Saturday’s movie will be “Scoob!”

Ultimate Family Nights are hosted by the city and YMCA of Niagara, with the final event taking place April 25.

Greg Zwiep, Port Colborne’s manager of recreation and tourism, said the nights are an interactive way for new and returning families to try a variety of activities.

“Not only are the activities great, but they also serve as a reminder of all of the wonderful programming we have available in our community hub,” he said in a news release.
