ARLINGTON – After missing a couple of months due to a stress reaction, Tuesday marked Sunnyvale senior Tyrus Cowan’s second race since returning to action.

That, coupled with competing on a brand-new course for the Region II-4A cross country meet, added some uncertainty for Cowan as to what to expect during the penultimate round of the postseason, but the Raiders’ star distance runner was still able to find his way to the front of the pack.
