New York Jets owner Woody Johnson seemed to defend first-year head coach Aaron Glenn while hinting at a preferred quarterback change on Tuesday (October 21) during the NFL fall meeting in New York via ESPN .
Johnson said the decision was "completely up to" Glenn, who sources reported was leaning toward benching incumbent starter Justin Fields for backup Tyrod Taylor and praised the head coach for "turning around parts" of the team.
"It's hard when you have a quarterback with a rating that he's got. I mean, he has ability, but something just is not jiving. ... You have to play consistently at that position, and that's what we're going to try to do for the remainder of the season," he said.
