LANE COUNTY, Ore. - The Lane County Sheriff's Office is urging community members to prioritize safety on the roads amid a series of DUII arrests. Despite lacking a dedicated traffic team due to funding constraints, deputies remain committed to ensuring the safety of local roadways, LCSO officials said.

Sheriff's deputies said that several drivers were arrested in the past week for driving under the influence.

On Oct. 13, deputies arrested Sherine Renee Forrest, 59, of Springfield, after finding her vehicle in a ditch off Marcola Road. Signs of impairment led to her arrest for DUII, sheriff's officials said.

Authorities said that Jeremiah Michael McDonnell, 38, of Springfield, was also arrested for DUII on Oct. 14 after allegedly committing multiple traffic violations in Glenwood.
