HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) - A man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter following a crash that killed a United States Postal Service work in Texas.

The crash occurred on Saturday afternoon in Harris County.

A mailbox was completely destroyed, a tree was damaged and USPS tape remained on the ground; those were the pieces left behind from a fatal crash where a pickup collided into a postal truck, killing a USPS worker, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

“We have witnesses that did observe the vehicle going at a significant high rate of speed,” a Harris County Sheriff’s Office sergeant said. “It was a pretty violent crash that occurred.”
