DICKINSON — Lisa Tormaschy was sentenced to 360 days in prison and three years of supervised probation on Monday, Oct. 20, after pleading guilty to one Class A felony count of theft in excess of $50,000.
The case was prosecuted by Stark County State’s Attorney Amanda Englestad, and Tormaschy retained Dickinson-based attorney Markus A. Powell for her defense.
Tormaschy was originally arrested in September 2024. Law enforcement alleged she used her position as the office manager at Tooz Construction to embezzle more than $1 million from the company over a 14-year period from 2010 to 2024.
Tormaschy, who had no prior criminal record, was taken into custody and charged with one Class A felony count of theft in excess of $50,000. Class A felonies carry a maximum 20-year prison sentence and
