A Tillsonburg man is facing several charges after police say he assaulted multiple officers during a disturbance call earlier this month.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call on Trailview Drive in Tillsonburg around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 11. When officers tried to arrest the man involved, police say he assaulted “multiple” OPP officers.

The officers did not sustain injuries, and no other injuries were reported during the incident, police said.

A 23-year-old man is charged with assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, mischief under $5,000, and being intoxicated in a public place, police said.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock court on Nov. 18.
