BARABOO, Wis. -- Baraboo Police Department assisted in the arrest of a Milwaukee homicide suspect on Tuesday.

Police said an on-duty officer with the police department was contacted by a resident who provided information that the suspect was believed to be traveling to Baraboo to seek medical services.

Baraboo officers worked with the Milwaukee Police Department to verify that Walter Lorenzo Jones was wanted in connection to a homicide investigation in Milwaukee.

Police said once confirmation was received, Baraboo police partnered with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office to develop a tactical plan to safely arrest the suspect.

Through the combined effort of all involved agencies, Jones was taken into custody without incident.
