Boil advisory issued for city in Clayton County

MCGREGOR, Iowa (KCRG) - A boil advisory has been issued for the city of McGregor due to potential bacterial contamination.

A water service line was repaired on Center Street Monday. This resulted in shutting water off from the intersection of 4th and Prospect Streets.

The following streets were affected:

300 block of 4th Street

Kinney Street

100 and 200 blocks of Center Street

Cemetery Rd

Walnut Street

Ohmer Lane

E Spring Street

Cross Street

Residents are advised to use bottled water or boil tap water before use.

This will remain in effect until further notice.
