An investigation was underway in Camarillo after a man was found stabbed at a youth football game held at a high school, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday.

The stabbing was first reported last Saturday at around 6 p.m. during the game at Adolfo Camarillo High School on Mission Oaks Boulevard.

When deputies arrived, they found a 27-year-old man from Oxnard suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital for his injuries.

The sheriff's department said its detectives are actively investigating this stabbing while seeking the public’s assistance or information about the incident.
