As Project Sail continues to loom over Coweta County, I appreciate all the input and research citing the negatives of having it in a conservation and residential area.
My research comes from common sense and the water supply. How many of you have lived in Coweta County long enough to have a well go dry during a drought? I have. About 75 to 80 years ago, I remember my dad had to haul water in jugs and barrels for drinking, cooking, bathing and laundry.
Today, Oct. 17, the county is approaching 60 days without any measurable rain. During this time, the lake that my property borders is 10 inches below full pool.
