Davidson River Campground in Pisgah National Forest will be closed from November 2025 through May 2026 for renovations, according to an Oct. 20 news release from Naventure.

The bathhouse renovations will be funded by the Great American Outdoors Act and are part of a cooperative effort by the U.S. Forest Service and Naventure, the operator of several recreation areas in the Pisgah National Forest.

The project will "modernize amenities" and improve visitor experience.

The upgrades are expected to be completed and the facilities reopened in May 2026. The release said these improvements mark "one of the most significant reinvestments in local recreation infrastructure in recent years."
