STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One person is dead, and another is in critical condition after a Saturday morning crash in Stratford, police said.
At approximately 3:35 a.m., police responded to a single-car crash in the 1100 block of Nichols Avenue. The vehicle struck a tree, police said.
In total five people aged 16-24 were in the vehicle, according to police.
The driver, identified as Ryan Frank Julian, 18, was later pronounced dead.
A second person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where they remain in critical condition, according to police. The three other occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
