ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) --- On Monday, the verdict came down finding one correction officer guilty of killing Robert Brooks, a man who was incarcerated at Marcy Correctional. Two others were acquitted in the case. Brooks' son, Robert Brooks Jr., came to the New York State Capitol to advocate for prison reform legislation.

He told reporters that he has been feeling a mix of emotions.

"Even though we got one guilty on all charges and two acquitted, I feel as the people who were acquitted, they were doing what their supervisors told them to do. So, I can’t be totally mad at them, but I’m more mad at the system that allows that to go on," said Brooks.
