SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The Robinson Film Center (RFC) is honoring film history with "The Unspoken Frame: A Celebration of Silent Cinema."

The RFC will kick things off with an opening reception and exhibit dedication of "two one-of-a-kind restored silent-era film posters" on Wednesday, October 22, at 5 p.m. A free screening of 1924's "Sherlock Jr." will also be shown. A live performance of "Nosferatu" will take place the following day, Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m.

"The visual grammar of silent cinema - gesture, montage, and movement - still echoes in every frame of modern film," said Wendell Riley, RFC Executive Director. "This festival celebrates how those early storytellers shaped the way we watch movies today."

All scheduled events will take place at the Robinson Film Center
