The Florida Gators are on the hunt for their next head football coach following the dismissal of Billy Napier.
The school and athletic director Scott Stricklin parted ways with Napier after the Gators' two-point win over unranked Mississippi State this past Saturday, saying the now-former head coach "didn't win to the level we needed to" over his four seasons in Gainesville.
Florida owes Napier approximately $21 million for his contract buyout — a big expense as the school looks to sign a new high-profile coach.
"We have tremendous resources, but it's not unlimited so we'll have to manage that," Stricklin said, via ESPN. "The resources are not going to be a reason why we don't make the right decision going forward here."
