Crews were responding to a fire at a high-rise apartment building at Hollywood Beach on Tuesday.

The fire broke out at a building in the 300 block of Surf Road, Hollywood Fire Rescue officials said.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed flames pouring out of a top floor apartment as firefighters worked to put the fire out. NBC6

The resident of the apartment was safe and unharmed, officials said.

Crews were working to contain the fire and ensure resident safety, officials added. NBC6
