FARGO — Chase Mason is “day to day,” according to his head coach, which makes the South Dakota State quarterback like your typical card-carrying member of the AARP. The big difference: Mason is a different kind of senior.

Instead of looking forward to the 10% discount on the early bird special at Denny’s, Mason is in his final year of college football eligibility. And this Saturday, well, there’s the proverbial Big Game.

It’s Dakota Marker week and Mason’s Jackrabbits are set to host North Dakota State on Saturday night at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, where the blue-and-yellow clad fans might set a state record for cumulative blood-alcohol content when the game kicks off a little after 7 p.m.
