COLUMBIANA CITY One person was arrested following a drug bust in the City of Columbiana on Tuesday.

According to a post on the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, one suspect was taken into custody Tuesday following a lengthy investigation into alleged theft and drug trafficking offenses.

After the arrest, a search warrant was conducted on the 200 block of Pittsburgh Street.

Agents with the Columbiana County Drug Task Force found 29 grams of methamphetamine, three handguns and paraphernalia consistent with drug use and drug trafficking.

Additionally, agents found what is being described as an "improvised explosive device," which was transferred to the Youngstown Bomb Squad.

Court records do not show any charges filed against the suspect in this case at this time.
