SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
The driver of a stolen vehicle who was being chased by Sacramento police crashed into several vehicles on Tuesday afternoon before being detained, police said.
Police said the chase started near El Camino and Howe Avenue.
LiveCopter 3 footage showed at least three vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash at Fulton Avenue and Auburn Boulevard near Business 80. One of them was a SacRT Flex vehicle.
It’s unclear which vehicle was stolen.
SacRT Flex is a described on SacRT’s website as a “subsidized neighborhood shuttle service for a limited group of qualified riders, including seniors (age 62+), low-income individuals, and persons with disabilities.”
The number of people who were injured was unclear. Police the injuries were non-life-threatening.
