SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco police said a 68-year-old man tied to a stabbing last Thursday in the city's Mission District was arrested with the alleged weapon on him.

Police said its officers made a quick arrest following the Oct. 16 incident on the 2600 block of Mission Street.

Police arrived at the scene at 6:36 p.m. and located a man suffering from several stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on a description provided by police dispatch, the suspect, identified as Silas Patino, of San Francisco, was located nearby.

Police said a "sharp-edged weapon" was recovered at the time of Patino's arrest. The charges he faces are not yet known.
