GO, TEAM!

The last few days, the cities of Oklahoma City and Los Angeles figured out a way to celebrate sports and teamwork on the road to staging the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the United States in 2028.

To kick off the 1,000-day countdown for these Games, the Olympic organizing teams from both cities – LA28 and Team OKC – hosted a Day of Sport event in Oklahoma City to involve young people in the Olympics and to introduce them to several games.

Los Angeles is the official host of these games but has partnered with Oklahoma City to provide satellite venues – the Oklahoma City Softball Park for the softball games for the and the RIVERSPORT facilities along the Oklahoma River for the canoe and kayak competitions.
