BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC /Gray News) - Family and friends of Kimber Mills said their goodbyes to the 18-year-old on Tuesday.
Mills is one of four people who were shot at an Oct. 18 bonfire in Pinson.
Mills’ sister said an honor walk was held Tuesday afternoon at UAB Hospital for the Cleveland High School cheerleader as doctors prepared her for organ donation.
“She is so loved by this amazing community she has behind her,” her sister said. “She is beyond loved and we are so thankful for everyone who has shown up to support her.”
Mills’ heart and lungs will go to someone in need and money raised through a GoFundMe will go toward helping the other victims who are still recovering from the shooting.
The community has rallied around Mills in recent days, with the family saying over 10
