BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man was arrested in San Bernardino County after leaving a victim with major injuries in a shooting in Ridgecrest.

Officers with the Ridgecrest Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of West Reeves Avenue for the report of shits fired on Oct. 14 around 3 p.m.

Investigation showed, the victim of the shooting was taken to the hospital by friends. The victim sustained major non-life threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

The suspect was identified as Felipe Hernandez, 45, of Bakersfield. It was believed he fled to Trona, according to police.

Hernandez was found in Trona and taken into custody without incident.
