An Airdrie man has been charged in connection with an alleged internet child luring case involving a teenage girl in Europe.
Airdrie RCMP began investigating in May 2025 when officers received a complaint about online child luring that reportedly took place between October 2024 and April 2025.
Police say the victim, a 15-year-old girl in Germany, had been engaged in a romantic relationship with a 28-year-old suspect through various social media platforms.
With help from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre, investigators identified the suspect as Airdrie resident Daniel Lee.
Lee was arrested on Oct. 16 and has been charged with luring a child, possession of child pornography, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
