CLIFTON, Ill. (WCIA) -- A "Truck-or-Treat" event is coming up in Clifton, and one of the organizers joined WCIA 3's Mitchell Rife in the studio to share more information about it.

Crane Quality Equipment is hosting the event, and it's all about supporting local volunteer firefighters.

Wendy Crane said there were devastating field fires in the area several weeks ago. Over 30 departments showed up to help, and more than 20 local farmers immediately jumped in to help as well. Crane said she wanted to give back, so, she came up with the Truck-or-Treat event.

On Friday, Oct. 24 from 3-7 p.m., kids can meet first responders, get up close to field-fighting equipment, make crafts, try homemade goods and more. Crane said the cost of attendance is $5 per car. All of the money raised will go to fi
