PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga Police Chief John Chambers is requesting City Council approval to apply for and accept a $15,000 grant from the Stanton K-9 Foundation, an organization that honors police dogs lost in the line of duty.

If approved, the grant would fund the addition of a new K-9 officer to the department, along with a bulletproof vest for the dog.
