HANSVILLE -- Work to repair the main parking lot at Point No Point, rebuild a rock revetment wall in front of the iconic lighthouse and plant native vegetation to stabilize the north beach is nearing completion at the Kitsap County park in North Kitsap, all in the wake of a king tide flooding event that caused widespread damage in December 2022.
The county estimated that construction could be done in November when the latest phase of work began in August. As of Oct. 20 the progress is visible on a visit to the site, where large rocks forming a wall have been installed to re-establish a shoreline berm, continuing a project that began in 2023.
