The North Vancouver RCMP is seeking witnesses after a tourist fell off a cliffside into the Lynn Canyon Valley.

Police say that first responders rescued the American woman in her 50s, who fell 30 metres, and then transported her to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police alleged she was part of a tourist group on a tour guide at Lynn Canyon Park.

“The group was being toured around the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, and the incident occurred near the north side of the suspension bridge.”

Police are investigating the incident and are asking any witnesses to contact them by calling 604-985-1311.

“We are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen the incident or captured it on their phone,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, media relations officer for the North Vancouver RCMP.
