BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana leaders are working to bring a booming film industry back to the state.

Jason Waggenspack, president of Film Louisiana, said it starts with Act 44, the recent tax incentive program that will make Louisiana more competitive for filming.

“It also added smart new features like workforce training credits and above the line incentives that makes us more attractive to larger productions while helping grow local talent,” Waggenspack said.

Waggenspack said the program will also help grow the state’s economy.
