BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you thought the battle over bonds in the city of Buffalo was going to be over when Judge Colaiacovo issued his ruling on September 24, you didn't watch enough pro wrestling growing up.
Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams on Tuesday doubled down and said she plans to appeal the court order that said she must go to the bond market to fund capital budget projects.
"I want to be clear about why I am appealing the recent court decision and how this moment is about more than a legal ruling," Miller-Williams said. "It's about the long term fiscal health of our city and setting a precedence to be established for all villages, towns and cities throughout New York State."
