A fire in southeast Edmonton that damaged two homes Monday night was the result of nearby fireworks that were set off, police say.
Three men have been charged with arson in connection to the incident, according to a news release the Edmonton Police Service issued Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to the Mill Woods neighbourhood, near 25th Avenue and 24th Street, shortly after 8:30 p.m. MT Monday. Responding firefighters found two houses ablaze.

No one was injured in the fires.
Investigators determined that sparks from fireworks, set off during Diwali celebrations in a neighbouring backyard, hit the two homes, causing them to ignite, police said.
