WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Bosch Group announced Tuesday that it will cut around 200 jobs at its Wichita plant, just months after purchasing it from Johnson Controls.

"The HVAC market is facing challenges with potentially slower growth than expected. To deliver on the Bosch Home Comfort Group's 2030 strategy, the company must improve efficiency and productivity in order to secure its competitiveness and financial performance," the company said in a statement.

In August, Bosch acquired Johnson Controls' Residential and Light Commercial HVAC division and Hitachi's residential ventilation business in a deal valued at $8.1 billion. The acquisition included 16 manufacturing sites and 12 engineering locations across more than 30 countries.
