The Wyoming Capitol was evacuated on Tuesday when a suspected explosive device was discovered outside the building and brought indoors, prompting a thorough security operation.

Using drones and bomb-sniffing dogs, authorities searched the area around the state seal on the Capitol grounds after the device was found. The identity of the person who discovered the object remains undisclosed.

Governor Mark Gordon and members of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, meeting in a nearby room, were among those evacuated. Authorities have yet to elaborate on the nature of the object, which was not factory-produced. The investigation continues.
