A former Santa Fe police sergeant faces felony charges after officers allege he rammed another driver outside a south-side gas station in a road rage incident while driving drunk.

Police allege Gilbert C'de Baca, 61, intentionally drove his pickup into another driver's vehicle Monday night while both were leaving the Maverick gas station at 2650 Sawmill Road, just off St. Francis Drive. An officer who witnessed the crash said the driver of the other vehicle cut off C'de Baca — who was driving away from the gas pumps — just before the collision.

C'de Baca faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated DWI, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in Santa Fe County Magistrate Court.
