SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) — A benefit lunch held in Scottsboro on Sunday raised over $7,200 for an officer injured in the line of duty about three months ago.
Scottsboro Police Department Lt. Derek Porch was injured July 26 when he was shot in the hand responding to a domestic incident. That shooting led to a 20-hour manhunt.

"We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from out friends, families, and neighbors," the Scottsboro Police Department stated in a Facebook post.
Most recently, Holy Smokes Barbeque hosted a benefit drive-thru lunch. All proceeds went to Porch and his family, and it raised $7,247 to sup
